THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Thursday (Jun 20):
Seatrium: Its wholly owned subsidiary, Seatrium New Energy, formerly known as Keppel Fels, has together with RigCo entered into a settlement agreement with Awilco Drilling and two of its units. One of the units will receive a US$57 million settlement sum related to a contract involving Seatrium New Energy. This sum, however, will be paid by RigCo, along with other legal fees and costs, said Seatrium on Thursday. The counter closed 0.7 per cent or S$0.01 lower at S$1.50 on Wednesday.
Wing Tai: A unit of the real estate developer has placed the top bid of nearly S$464 million or about S$1,325 per square foot per plot ratio for the plot next to Great World MRT station, in a state land tender. This comes amid reduced appetite for private residential sites from developers. Shares of the mainboard-listed company closed 0.7 per cent or S$0.01 higher at S$1.40 on Wednesday.
