JARDINE Cycle & Carriage (Jardine C&C) on Thursday (Apr 11) announced that Jean-Pierre Felenbok will join the company’s board from Apr 29 as a non-executive independent director.
In a filing to the bourse, the company said the 67-year-old management consultant has no prior experience as a director of a Singapore-listed company, and will attend the relevant training on the roles and responsibilities of a director as prescribed by the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
He was the founder and managing partner of Bain Indonesia from 2013 to 2018, and the managing partner of Bain South-east Asia from 2019 to 2021, Jardine C&C said.
Since 2022, he has been an advisory partner for Bain South-east Asia.
He is presently the chairman of PT Bain Indonesia, and the chairman of the Harvard Business School Club of Singapore, the company added.
Jardine C&C said its nominating committee recommended that Felenbok be appointed after having reviewed his background, qualifications and work experience.

The board, having considered the nominating committee’s recommendation, approved the appointment to the position, to take effect from the close of the company’s annual general meeting to be held on Apr 29, or any adjournment of such a meeting.
Shares of Jardine C&C : C07 0% rose 2.3 per cent or S$0.60 to close at S$26.71 on a cum-dividend basis on Thursday.
