WALL Street’s main indexes opened higher on Tuesday (Apr 9) supported by retreating Treasury yields, while investors awaited a key inflation print later in the week that could help shape the Federal Reserve’s stance on rate cuts this year.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 90.9 points, or 0.23 per cent, at the open to 38,983.66.
The S&P 500 rose 14.6 points, or 0.28 per cent, at the open to 5,217.03, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 74.8 points, or 0.46 per cent, to 16,328.756 at the opening bell. REUTERS
